This maternity session in the water at Gold Creek Pond in North Bend, WA was absolutely amazing! I had so much fun with Rica & Lani getting in and out of the water, filming all kinds of crazy behind the scenes videos (gotta get content for the gram) and getting Rica in and out of all of the elaborate dresses from my client closet.
Olivia and James’ Auburn Maternity Photoshoot at Flaming Geyser Park was so beautiful! We had done a dress fitting the day before to ensure Olivia was super comfortable in all of the dresses we had selected for her to wear, including a beautiful gown from Before & Ever Couture.
When Lavone & Tom first reached out, I knew they were going to be an amazing couple to work with! We talked about their love of tech and board games and how much my husband and I love board gaming with friends every week. At the time I was trying to get people booked for cherry blossom season, but as any Seattle photographers know, cherry blossoms around here can be fickle, and fleeting! It’s so hard to predict when they’ll bloom and for how long they’ll stay. We lucked out on a gorgeous overcast day at Grand Avenue Park.
Ahh! This maternity session is still one of my absolute favorites. I think it helped that I had a chance to work with my beautiful friend and her husband which always gives me a bit more creative freedom and comfortability. We started out at the entrance to Rattlesnake Lake which is one of the best spots year-round for maternity photos near Seattle.
For Reena’s photoshoot, we spent the hour before sunset with her parents and husband, and of course made sure to capture plenty of gorgeous solo shots. Her smile was just radiant, it made my job so easy! The Volunteer Park Conservatory in Seattle’s Capitol Hill is one of my favorite photo spots in the area.
